Volunteers needed to help clean up our neighborhood!

The first community clean-up of the year is scheduled for Saturday, April 14th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

FHSNA is proud to announce we will be partnering with SBLC (South Baltimore Learning Center) for the event!

The mission of SBLC is to improve the self-sufficiency of educationally disadvantaged adults. SBLC is a community-based nonprofit organization providing functional literacy and life skills training, in addition to career preparation services, to residents in the Baltimore Area.

FHSNA will be collecting donations for SBLC at our Clean Up, GreenUp on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.  Please see the list in the flyer below for SBLCs "wish-list" items.  Cash donations will also be accepted.

A dumpster will be delivered that morning at the corner of Riverside and Gittings.  Dumpster delivery will be announced via Facebook and NextDoor. We'll also provide brooms, rakes, shovels and trash bags for neighbors to borrow to clean up alleys, gutters, sidewalks, tree pits and other shared areas.

We can always use a few volunteers to help man (or woman) the dumpster and make sure it is packed efficiently.  That is the only way we can fit all of the trash and debris in the dumpster without having it overflow.  It is always filled to the top when it is hauled away.

To volunteer to help with the CleanUp-GreenUp events contact Rich Schechinger at scheck@comcast.net.

See you there!

The remaining 3 CleanUp-GreenUp events for 2018 are scheduled for the following dates:

Saturday, June 16th
Saturday, September 8th
Saturday, November 10th
