DHHS Community Garden Spring Clean-up and Planting Day

posted Apr 30, 2014, 6:08 PM by Fina Santa-Maria

April Showers will bring May flowers and vegetables. This year we are certainly getting April showers with a vengeance but, fortunately the long range weather forecast for next Saturday, May 10 looks to be dry. Meanwhile, this spring has seen a lot of progress with our DHHS Community Garden, including installation of an underground water line from Covington Street exiting in the garden. For those who helped with summer watering that means no more dragging long hoses from the school.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS SPRING'S CLEAN UP AND PLANTING. Children are welcome because we have a team leader ready to do special art projects with school age kids.
Please read the attached flyer for more information and PLEASE RSVP via email before Wednesday, May 7th so I can know approximately the number of volunteers for sandwiches being donated by FAT LARRY'S and tools we need on loan from The Community Toolbank.

Thank you all for your commitment to this project.
