Community Clean-up - October 29

The next Neighborhood Clean-up event is coming up on Saturday, October 29 from 9:00 am to noon.
The primary purpose of the community clean-up is to provide an opportunity for neighbors to clean the streets, alleys, gutters and sidewalks of leaves, weeds, litter and other trash and debris.   You can also toss out that old patio chair or broken planter that has been sitting around all year.

The City's DPW will provide a roll off dumpster which will be located at the corner of Battery and Gittings.  There will be bags, brooms, shovels and rakes available at the dumpster site.  Please bring gloves (extra brooms and rakes would be helpful).
This is the fourth and final FHS community clean up for the year. Before winter sets in come out and sweep up those fall leaves before they fill the gutters and clog the
sewer drains.  The bags get heavy fast so if you fill 'em up, we'll pick 'em up.  Just come to the dumpster and tell us where they are. Materials that will not be collected include construction materials, bulk items and hazardous waste materials. For bulk items such as appliances and furniture you can call 311 to schedule a bulk trask pickup.
