The next Neighborhood Clean-up event is coming up on Saturday, May 5 from 9:00 am to noon.
The primary purpose of the community clean-up is to provide an opportunity for neighbors to clean the streets, alleys, gutters and sidewalks of leaves, weeds, litter and other trash and debris. You can also toss out items that have been sitting around all year.
The City's DPW will provide a roll off dumpster which will be located at the corner of Battery and Gittings. There will be bags, brooms, shovels and rakes available at the dumpster site. Please bring gloves (extra brooms and rakes would be helpful).
This is the first of four FHS community clean-ups for the year. Materials that will not be collected include construction materials, bulk items and hazardous waste materials. For bulk items such as appliances and furniture you can call 311 to schedule a bulk trask pickup.
