Community Clean-up - June 1 from 9 am - Noon

Volunteers needed to tackle the trash!!!
Our first community clean-up of the year on May 11th was another success. We filled the dumpster to the top, as we always do.  Thanks to all of you who dragged downed tree limbs, dead bushes and bags of leaves, weeds, dirt and debris from your street and alley to the dumpster.

Our next clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st from 9am-noon.  A dumpster will be delivered that morning at the corner of Battery and Gittings.  Bags, rakes, brooms and shovels will be available starting at 9:00.  Please don’t bring trash to dump until after 10:00 when the dumpster arrives.

This clean-up is a little soon following the last one but we have to work with the DPW and their schedule for dumpster availability.

We need a few volunteers to help man (or woman) the dumpster and make sure it is packed efficiently.  That is the only way we can fit all of the trash and debris in the dumpster without it overflowing.  It is always filled to the top when it is hauled away.

To volunteer to help with community clean ups contact Mary Concannon at maryfitness@yahoo.com.

Future clean ups are scheduled for Saturday, September 14 & November 9.
